Green Star, fire-rated and acoustic — handled properly
Rated and certified work is where ceilings and partitions contractors get found out. This is how we handle it.
Green Star projects
Our team has delivered ceilings and partitions on 5 Star Green Star certified facilities. We build to the tender documentation and track every material as we go — quantities and types of plasterboard, steel stud, insulation and adhesives — using only low-VOC, Green Star-approved products on site. At the end of the job, the builder's Green Star consultant gets the complete documentation and figures they need for the rating, without chasing us for a single number.
Fire-rated systems
Fire-rated walls and ceilings are installed strictly to the tested system — correct board, framing, fixings and sealants, with no substitutions. Penetrations and services are coordinated with the other trades so ratings aren't compromised after we leave, and installation documentation is provided at handover.
Acoustic systems
We build from the project's acoustic report: partitions to the specified Rw rating, acoustic ceilings and insulation, full-height construction where required, and acoustic sealant detailing at every junction. Where site conditions make a tested detail impractical — structural steel, services clashes — we flag it early and work the solution through with the acoustic engineer, rather than leaving it to be found at testing.
Seismic design & Form 15 certification
Wall and ceiling systems are engineered to AS 1170.4 through our suppliers' in-house engineers — Rondo, Ceilings By Design and others, matched to the systems on the job. Where the building's Importance Level requires it, we arrange Form 15 design certificates as part of our package — no chasing paperwork at handover.
If it can be drawn, we can build it.
Most of our work is programme-driven commercial delivery — big floors, tight dates, clean handovers. But the real measure of a crew is what happens when the drawings get difficult. Inside Brisbane's heritage-listed Old Coal Board Building, our team delivered three levels of high-end restaurant fit-out: curved and coffered feature ceilings, custom bulkheads and wall linings, all set out around 1880s heritage fabric that couldn't be touched — working detail by detail with the architects and builder.
Not everything in those rooms is our work — and that's exactly the point. Finishes like that only come together when every trade is working to the same standard. We deliver our package hand in hand with the other trades, or manage the lot, so the finished room matches the drawing. It's not what we do every day. It's proof of what we can do, any day.
