Built from the tools up.
A trade contractor with a builder's licence, run by people who never left the site — this is who you're dealing with.
A trade partner builders can
hand a package to and stop worrying.
Priority Construction Group Pty Ltd is a Brisbane-based ceilings, partitions and commercial carpentry contractor delivering commercial and industrial fit-outs across South East Queensland — with a track record spanning industrial, logistics, retail, hospitality, education and childcare projects.
We work for builders and head contractors. Fast, hands-on delivery, strong site involvement and practical problem solving protect the three things builders care about most: programme, quality and cost. Alongside our trade specialisation, PCG holds a QBCC builder's licence, and builders regularly engage us to manage stages of the broader build in addition to our own package.
- Programme-focused delivery with crews that scale to the job.
- Dedicated site supervisors, with direct access to the director.
- Early tender and buildability input, while it can still be used.
- Our own trucks and access equipment for rapid mobilisation.
- Documented safety and quality systems on every project.
Rhys McPhee — Director.
Rhys began his career in 2001 as a carpentry apprentice with F.K. Gardner & Sons in Toowoomba — one of regional Queensland's most established building companies — adding a second trade in concreting, his first contractor-management roles, and a taste for large commercial and industrial work.
Five years with Brisbane's largest ceiling and partition companies followed, moving up through senior trade roles and adding a third trade in drywall plastering. In 2010 he formed South East Walls & Ceilings, delivering ceilings and partitions packages — with carpentry and concreting running throughout — across the city's commercial projects.
His QBCC builder's licence brought the two threads together: in 2019 he formed Priority Construction Group, delivering trade packages with commercial and industrial project management running parallel — leading from site, not from behind a desk.
- Three trades qualified — carpentry, concreting and drywall plastering.
- QBCC builder's licence — held since 2019.
- Advanced Diploma of Building — formal construction qualification on top of the tools.
- Estimating & cost planning — every tender priced from measured take-offs against live rates.
- Programme & site delivery — 25 years across commercial and industrial projects.
- Construction management — trade delivery and project management running parallel.
